POST FROM EAGLE MUSTANG FOOTBALL FACEBOOK PAGE:

It is with sadness and deep gratitude that we announce the resignation of Eagle Football's head coach, Paul Peterson. Pete has led the Eagle Football program for the last 14 years. In that time, he has had 13 winning seasons, 12 straight state playoff appearances. three state championship appearances and one State Championship in 2009.

Beyond the wins, Pete has been an inspiration to hundreds of young players, the staff, administration and the community of Eagle. Pete has always said, "Winning is a by-product of treating kids right." His influence is apartment on Friday nights at Thunder Stadium, which always fills up for home games.

"Coaching at Eagle has been the best coaching job in the world. I will miss the staff, football community and administration. But, most of all, I will miss the incredible kids that work hard and sacrifice for the Eagle Football program," said Coach Pete

Booster Club President John Rorabacher said, "Pete has built a winning and fun culture here at Eagle High School. Our kids work hard on the field and in school and the parents buy-in to the atmosphere that Pete has created for our players. We anticipate a smooth transition and relationship with Eagle's new Head Football Coach."

Pete will be greatly missed. We all wish Coach Pete good luck in his future endeavors.
