I think some of the best games in the state tournaments will come from the 1A bracket. However I do not see anyone being able to challenge Carey for the State Championship.

Seeding
I'm kind of dumbfounded about Wallace's seeding. They win there conference, get a first round bye, and have to travel to #1 Carey. Even though Cascade beat Deary, there should be no reason they are 7 and Wallace is 8.

Wallace plays in a notoriously weak conference and did not schedule any non-conference opponents that could help their rankings. If they were in the #7 seed, they would still have to deal with a #2 Dietrich.

Travel too
Tri Valley has to ?? Rockland a visit though Tri Valley has the higher seed. Rockland won the conference and Rocky Mountain is a weaker conference. Dietrich and Carey are atop the sawtooth conference and it’s everyone else. Since Wallace and Carey are both Conference champions Wallace has to travel to Carey as high seed. Had Lakeside won ?? conference would of been in same ??. Don’t k ow if they will make them go 2a next cycle or not, The bulldogs secured use of the iccu dome for first round. Long pin is tough, Had Wallace been 7th seed they would of hosted Dietrich do to being conference champion. Semifinals high seed host regardless of conference ce champion. I do t think Byuidaho ?? or Simplot ?? ever hosted hs playoffs. Donna Larson is used to avoid conflict with Bsu. When the colleges are not in town that weekend many games are played there. Not sure how they handle dibs when multiple teams in area. Will have to see that next week. Who would want to play in Rexburg in November? Area high schools are used for smaller ?? diring state championships as well.
