Entering his 22nd year at the helm of his Lakeland Hawk basketball team, coach Stave Seymour looks to be excited about the opportunities set in front of this year’s team.

With this year’s team, Seymour believes this is his fastest group he has had in a while and this group is very interested in playing defense, which will be needed in their conference. Leading the charge is All-Inland Empire League team (4A) selection Tauna Kirk. The senior guard will be looking to lead her team to get back on top of a league consisting of Moscow and Sandpoint (State team from a year ago). Kirk will be joined by senior guard Brittany Charles and post Dani Dowd.

These returners will be welcoming varsity newcomers Sofi Schnepf (junior G/P) and Lauren Cooper (Sophomore G).

This fast, defensive minded crew will be looking to be in hunt for the 4A conference title.
